Honda D14 Petrol engine D14A8

 The Honda D14 engine was installed in various compact cars from Honda. It is mostly found in the Civic but also in the , CRX ,Concerto and some other models.
The engine capacity range is 1.4 liters petrol and the engines are available in SOHC versions with 4 valves per cylinder. The performance range is from 64 to 136 hp. The production was from 1987 and ended in 2002 with the Honda Civic. The D14A1 engine has a dual carburetor, while all other D14 engines have PGM-FI fueled. Some D Series engines are called "ZC" but are not really a stand-alone series. There are also  SOHC engines for the D14.

The D14A3 and D14A4 engines are identical, the difference is only one small gasket under the throttle body in D14A3 which restricts the air intake of the engine, this happen in some European countries.

The D14A7 and D14A8 engines are identical, the difference is only one small gasket under the throttle body in D14A7 which restricts the air intake of the engine, this happen in some European countries.

They are also almost identical to the D14A3 and D14A4 engines. Differences are only in the compression ratio and some different mounted components.
