The Lancia Flaminia 3C GT Coupé 2.5-liter is an Italian sports car built only in the early 1960s.
History
In, 1962 Lancia presented new versions of the Flaminia sportive Touring and Zagato, with now three powerful Weber double-barrel carburettors. Deliveries to customers begin on February 1, 1962 the Flaminia 3C GT Coupé remains in production until the release of the new version with a 2.8-liter engine (September 1963) but appears in the Lancia price lists until October 1968, evidently for the disposal of stocks of two-and-a-half-litre engines. It should be noted that in September 1963, at the end of the production of the 2.5-liter Flaminia range, the 3C GT Coupé was joined by a new version with 2 plus 2 seats, generally defined as GTL.
This sporty 2-door coupé with some changes inside to the controls and instrumentation (the tachometer scale, for example, now reaches 6500), improvements in the finishings, the affixing, on the edge of the doors, of a light-warning light that signals the opening and the addition of two rear lights for the reverse, which are inserted in the centre of the optical unit in place of the reflectors, which in turn are housed in the small space between the optical unit and the boot opening. with split front seats (with adjustable backrest angle) with a so-called “trefoil” shape and folding to facilitate access to the rear compartment (without seats). with three-spoke steering wheel with central button for horn. at the rear trunk (boot) illuminated compartment; spare wheel under the loading floor (covered by a lid and a rubber mat).controls under the dashboard: two levers for control and adjustment of the ventilation and heating on the left side, lever for locking the bonnet, parking brake lever, trip odometer reset, clock adjustment, starter, heater activation lever, levers for control and adjustment of ventilation and side heating right, speed change control.

The new power supply system, which takes place via a needed electric rather than a mechanical pump, determines a significant increase in power maximum, which goes up from 119 to 140 hp, and of the torque, which goes from 19 to 20.7 mkg. Other changes concern the bridge ratio, which is a little less downgraded (3.615 instead of 3.692), several updates in the electrical system (including a new dynamo and a different type of spark plugs), traction on the rear wheels; clutch, gearbox and differential in a single group, fixed to the frame and arranged at the rear; transmission shaft of tubular type, without intermediate support the distribution of weight ( at max load) was 47% to the front axle, and 53 % at rear axle. The weight increases a lot but the performance is increased with the maximum speed declared by the manufacturer which rises by 11 kilometres per hour, from 180 to 191.
