The Citroën C-Elysée WTCC is a race car the car brand Citroën , which for use in the World Touring Car Championship in 2014 was developed. The codename of the vehicle is M43 . In July 2013, the vehicle was presented and subjected to the first driving tests. Even with the International Motor Show in Frankfurt in September 2013, the vehicle was shown.

The basis of the race car is the notchback Citroën C-Elysée . The body is reinforced and has a welded and repeatedly braced roll cage . It consists of steel and fiber composites .The engine was throttled to about 224 kW (300 hp) already used in the DS3 WRC . 

In the 2014 World Touring Car Championship , Citroën Total WTCC launched three cars throughout the season, in which Frenchman Sébastien Loeb and Yvan Muller and Argentinean José María López , who became World Touring Car Champion in 2014, competed. At four race weekends, a fourth vehicle was also for Ma Qinghua used. The driver Muller and Loeb occupied in the Drivers' Championship 2nd and 3rd

In 2015, the three riders were able to repeat this success . In the 2016 World Touring Car Championship , the drivers of the two participating cars also finished in 1st and 2nd place .
