In autumn 2006, the tenth Corolla debuted, who shared the technical base with the Toyota Auris.

The E14 was introduced in October 2006 and was available as a four-door notchback sedan (Corolla Axio) and as a five-door station wagon (Corolla Fielder) at a length of 4410 mm. It is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder (81 kW / 110 hp) or a 1.8-liter four-cylinder (100 kW / 136 hp). addition to the versions with front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive variants were offered with weaker engines. The majority of the Corolla models are equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) as standard, in addition there are still some versions with a five-speed gearbox.

In November 2006 followed the introduction of the Corolla E15 for the rest of the world, which shares the wheelbase (2600 mm) with the E14, but was 4540 mm longer and available only as a four-door notchback sedan. Depending on the market, different engines were available here.

In North America, the Corolla had four-cylinder, twin overhead camshafts, 16 valves, and variable valve timing with either 1.8 or 2.4 litres, delivering 98 kW / 132 hp and 118 kW / 160 hp; These vehicles are equipped as standard with a five-speed gearbox, available at extra cost conventional four- and five-speed automatic transmission. But it offers an all-new body with a lean, stylish shape, and it delivers increased interior and luggage room, more power, more economical engines and an all-new chassis and suspension.
The all-new Corolla will come in five grades — Standard, LE, XLE, the sporty S, and the performance-driven XRS. The standard body kit on S and XRS models helps to modify aerodynamics and enhance the Corolla's sporty look — these include a front underbody spoiler, fog lamps, rocker moldings, upper and lower rear spoilers, and for improved air management under the car, engine undercovers.

In Japan, there was also the same technology Corolla Rumion (wheelbase 2600, length 4210 mm), an edgy minivan, which was offered as a larger version of the Toyota bb.

In the spring of 2009, with the introduction of the Toyota Verso a revision of the Corolla E14 / E15. Since then, the Allex models were called Toyota Blade

Also, from the eleventh generation of the Corolla two different models are produced. The Corolla E160 was launched in May 2012 in Japan. It is much shorter and narrower to meet the Japanese specifications for compact cars and as a sedan Corolla Axio or Kombi Corolla Fielder available. Contrary to the international version, the Corolla E160 is also available as a hybrid.

The Toyota Corolla (E170) is the international version introduced in the US market in August 2013.

The vehicle will be manufactured in the Turkish Adapazarı plant for the European market. This Corolla is only available as a saloon, while the hatchback continues to serve the Toyota Auris, which is based on the same platform. The European version is much more conservative than the one for the US market. In addition, they renounced a large-scale advertising campaign.

In 2016, 8,000 Corolla 50th Anniversary Editions were produced for the 50th anniversary of the Toyota Corolla for the US market. In the spring of 2017, the model received a comprehensive facelift. Various assistance systems were provided.
