The Ogle 1.5 was a small British sports car built between 1959 and 1962.

History

1954 Ogle Design was founded and produced many successful designs of industrial and household products. By 1959 the company became involved in transport design and small-scale car production.

The two-door, four-seater coupé-styled body was built of glass fiber. It was capable of nearly 90 mph (140 km/h) and eight were made with a price tag of £1574 inc VAT. David Ogle's industrial design firm had a good reputation, but when he wanted to break into the car field, he found ha way to build his own. His first design in 1959 was based on a Riley 1.5 A 4-seater coupé. F/R, 1489cc (S4 OHV). BMC B-series engine in 68bhp twin-carb tune with MGA filters, BMC Riley back end with independent front, wishbones and torsion bars; coil springs rears, and glass-fiber body. Under the body was a Riley 1.5 (Morris Minor type) floorplan with tubular rear extension and Minor/Riley torsion bars at the front.
