This now had room for three people in the front and had four-wheel drive .Later equipped with a 2-cylinder OHV gasoline engine and a 1,400cc, 42-horsepower air-cooled V-type 2-cylinder OHV gasoline engine.
In 1959, the engine was converted to water cooling with a in-line 4-cylinder OHV and at the same time the name changed according to an increased payload in D 1100 and D 1500 models.
