The Ferrari F8 Tributo is a mid engine sports car of the Italian car manufacturer Ferrari .
History
The sports car was presented at the 89th Geneva Motor Show in March 2019. The F8 Tributo is powered by the well-known from the previous model 3.9-liter V8 turbo engine. As in the 488 Pista , this drive produces 530 kW (720 hp). At 100 km / h, the vehicle should accelerate in 2.9 seconds, the maximum speed indicates Ferrari with 340 km / h. A IHI bi-turbo 90 ° V8 with a displacement of 3902 cm³ , called Ferrari F154 CG , capable of delivering a maximum power of 720 HP at 8000 rpm , a specific power of 185 hp per liter and a maximum torque of 770 Nm at 3250 rpm. It adopts F1 titanium connecting rods , specific intake manifolds with optimized fluid dynamics , Inconel exhausts and manifolds and sensors developed to eliminate turbo lag .The gearbox is the automatic 7 -speed Getrag double clutch derived from the 488, with updated gear ratios.
The interior retains the classic cockpit theme but is equipped with the new generation of the Human Machine Interface ( HMI ) control interface, with round air vents, steering wheel and controls. new generation, and new 7 -inch touch screen passenger display . The seats are stylistically updated and every component of the dashboard , door panels and center tunnel has been redesigned.
Designed by the Ferrari Style Center under the direction of Flavio Manzoni , the F8 Tributo brings a new design language to its debut . The front is characterized by the integration of the S-Duct : it is a solution derived from Formula 1 , which provides for an inverted S-shaped opening on the bottom of the car to decrease air pressure . under the nose, improving the front aerodynamic load and therefore the stability of the car at high speeds . The LED headlights extend horizontally and have been redesigned to be more compact , allowing for the introduction of additional air intakes for brake cooling .
The car is equipped with version 6.1 of the Side Slip Angle Control , a Ferrari system for controlling traction and lateral slip angle. On this car the FDE + ( acronym for Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer ), an electronic program for the management of the drifts, can be used for the first time in the Race driving mode. Adaptive Performance Launch optimizes the torque transmitted by the clutches , according to the grip of the road surface, minimizing wheel slip and therefore maximizing acceleration. Furthermore, the system called “ Wall Effect ” on the limiter brings the engine to reach the maximum speed on the limit threshold of 8000 rpm, without a gradual control of the limiter in order to maximize the availability of power.
