The Dodge 126 was a passenger car company Dodge Brothers in Detroit , who as a further development of the Series 116 was presented in July 1925 as a model for 1926.

History

Like its predecessors, the car had a side-mounted 3479 cc 4-cylinder inline engine delivering 35 bhp (25.7  kW ) of power. The rear wheels were driven via a multi-disc dry clutch and a three-speed gearbox with middle shift. The rear wheels were mechanically braked. The wheelbase of the chassis was 2946 mm.

Again, several equipment variants were offered: the standard there was a 2-door roadster, 4-door touring car, 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe with 2 or 4 seats and 4-door business sedan. The same models were available as a special with better equipment. New was the variant Deluxe / Sport , in which a 2-door sports roadster, a 4-door sedan and a 4-door touring car were offered. The custom was made as a 4-door Landaulet and a 5-door station wagon.

In the model year 1927, the series was continued unchanged. However, as of January 1927, she was named Dodge 124 . In the Deluxe / Sport version came a convertible to the Custom was available only as a club coupe (4 seats).

When the series was replaced by the Fast Four in July 1927 , a total of 394,870 had been manufactured.
