Morris Motor Company Car Models timeline

The Morris Motor Company was a British manufacturer of motor vehicles . In 1923 Morris took over the hitherto independent body manufacturer Hollick & Pratt in Coventry and made it the basis of its own body production. Morris then offered various series with factory-fitted bodies. However, there were still special bodies that provided large dealers like Stewart & Ardern in London. They were manufactured by Cunard , among others .

Shortly after the presentation of the most successful Morris car, the Morris Minor in 1948, the company merged in 1952 with her then biggest rival Austin under the umbrella of the British Motor Corporation (BMC). From then on, Morris was just a brand of the BMC, which offered their largely identical vehicle types under different names. The brand Morris was used until the early 1980s, most recently only for the set in 1984 Morris Ital .In the original production facility in Cowley , the current Mini is now produced under BMW Group affiliation .
