Flanders Motor Company

The Flanders Motor Company was an American Detroit automaker in the 1910s. The brand name was Flanders.

History

Barney Everitt and William Metzger had been operating the butcher Motor Car Company since 1909. In 1912, Walter E. Flanders also joined the company.In 1910, Walter E. Flanders also joined the company.

Flanders carried out a reorganization and renaming. Short term, the new company was called Everitt Motor Car Company and then Flanders Motor Company.  in total over 31,000 built Already a little later, the takeover took place by the United States Motor Company Studebakers.

The model was the Flanders 20. It was based on the last model of the Butcher Motor Company. Electric vehicle headlights and starters were improvements. A four-cylinder L-head engine 20hp and  a 2-speed transmission powered the vehicles. The chassis had 100" wheelbase. The choice was a runabout, touring, suburban a roadster and coupe.
