Four Wheel Drive Wagon Company was an early American manufacturer of Commercial vehicles and automobiles from the 1900s. The brand name was Four Wheel Drive.

History

Four Wheel Drive Wagon Company was founded in 1903 by Theodore Hanson, Charles B. Perry, and Lyman G. Wheeler. They bought the patents of the Cotta Automobile Company in November 1903. 1904 began the production of automobiles.  At the beginning of 1906, an extension of the work was announced. 

The vehicles with a focus on commercials included passenger cars, vans and trucks. The all four wheels motor truck was driven by bevel gears from a 50 H. P. motor unit. Not only are all four wheels driven, but steering and braking are also done through them. With wooden tread tires, Able to travel under all conditions of road and weather, no matter how trying. They trailer with a five-ton load up hills or through snow. The open touring cars had a four-cylinder engine from the Rutenber Motor Company with 40 hp. The chassis had 335 cm wheelbase.

At the end of 1906 production came to a standstill. The beginning of 1907 was followed by bankruptcy.
