Conover Motor Car Company was an early American manufacturer of automobiles from Paterson, New Jersey. The brand name was Conover.
History
Conover Motor Car Company was founded Edwin K. Conover in 1908. Production was commissioned by the Watson Machine Company in the same location. He developed a vehicle in the same year.
The cars on offer included a two-seat runabout the vehicle weighing 1043 kg. Also, a five-seater touring car that was empty weight given as 1089 kg. Fitted with a four-cylinder engine that was purchased from the Rutenber Motor Company. This had a 5212-cc engine capacity with a 114.3 mm bore, 127 mm stroke, and was rated as 35/40 PS via a cardan drive. The chassis had 246 cm wheelbase and 142 cm gauge.
1912 ended production. In total, about 25 vehicles were created.
