The seventh generation of the Camry was introduced in August 2011 and sold from September of the same year.  Also, this generation will not be imported to Europe.

Despite optical similarities to the previous model, the body is completely new. The engines were also partially revised, in particular, the performance of the entry-level engine was increased. The 3.5-liter engine and the hybrid model continue to be coupled to higher trim levels. freshening. The base 2.5-liter four-cylinder, 3-5-liter V-6, six-speed automatic, and gas-electric hybrid powertrain. The top of the range Camry XSE V-6 has 268 horsepower and 225/45 all-season tires on large 18-inch wheels, the transmission automatically upshifts when you hit the redline.

Camry LES and XLEs get a silver or black five-bar grille. The SE and the XSE versions get a sports Lexus-black honeycomb grille until the later facelift.

Inside The XSE and XLE seats are trimmed in suede or leather. With electronic assists includes radar-based cruise control, lane keeping, automatic braking, rear-collision alert, and automatic headlamp dimming. Options for 4.2-inch screen in the instrument cluster for driver info, nav instructions. Connectivity includes an console pad that inductively recharges your smartphone or MP3 player. JBL sound system with 10 speakers and powerful 586 watts.  

Unlike its predecessors, the model offered in Japan visually corresponds to the version for the other Asian markets and is only available with hybrid drive.

In the US, this generation is no longer available with manual transmission, instead, the gasoline engines installed as standard, a six-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid version is provided with a continuously variable transmission equipped. Also, standard is ESP, along with ten airbags and various other comfort features.

The 2.0-liter engine is only available in the Russian market.
