History
The Morris Sixteen known as Morris Big Six comprised the Morris Sixteen, Eighteens and Morris Twenty and Twenty five with same body with diffrent trim and engines as the Twenty. This successor was initially also sold as Oxford 6 , later renamed Oxford 16 , and finally the name Oxford fell away altogether.
The Morris 16 was for sale from £250 less than the Twenty and Twenty five ,It had, like its predecessor, a side-mounted six-cylinder in-line engine with 2062 cc capacity and 15.9 hp, and fitted with a 3 speed gearbox and a semi-elliptic leaf-spring suspension set up . The vehicles were available as four-door sedans and 2 door special coupe body. Already in the same year the appearance of the model Morris Eighteen with a stronger engine was also available.
