The M 114 is a gasoline engine with six cylinders in series used by Mercedes-Benz , which was produced from 1967 to 1972 in the Mercedes-Benz Models: 230-280/C/E

This version was almost identical to the Mercedes-Benz M 108 , the unit differs by the timing, which allow higher torque at low speeds.

This engine is equipped with electronic fuel injection, a Bosch D-Jetronic . The M114 was the first Mercedes-Benz engine to be equipped with this technology after mechanical systems were introduced in the 1950s.
