The Isuzu 810 was a truck model of the Japanese manufacturer Isuzu from 1983 up to 1994.
History
The development code "810" was the inspiration for the name. The model was introduced on the market in 1983. It came with a 6-cylinder diesel engine (6QA1 or 6RB1), as well as the P-CXZ21 V-8 Cylinder Engine and the P-EXD21 V-12 Cylinder Engine. The model was sold as the first E-series and C-series on the overseas market.
In August 1983, the series 810 appeared with initially four round headlights. In 1986, there were small changes due to new noise regulations. The headlights were now square rather than round. There was now a steering wheel lock available. Optionally there was now automatic transmission .
The new generation received the turbo engine 6SD1 CXH23. In 1989, there were minor changes to front bumper, grille and a new dashboard, as well as a permanent retarder as an option. In 1992, the front was redesigned with a front mask with new headlights. Modification of the turbocharged six-cylinder 6RB1 engine, now with common-rail injection and mountain traction help , in part as standard equipment. End of production took place in 1994, successor was the Isuzu Giga .
