The Honda Vamos was designed as an open buggy type recreational vehicle for use on and off roads in the 1970s. 

History

The Vamos was based on the Honda TN 360, with which he shared the engine and chassis. Folding hood and seating arrangement were highly variable: two-seater, four-seater and full-top were offered for the doorless vehicle as the Vamos 2 and Vamos 4. But the interior can only be described as Spartan  the open body had no doors and separate front seats .

The engine was a air cooled 4 stroke 2 cylinders unit, with max power (DIN): 30 hp at 8,000 rpm a max torque (DIN): 22 1b ft, 3 kg m at 5,500 rpm and max engine rpm: 8,600.Max speeds: 16 mph, 25 km/h in 1st gear; 26 mph, 42 km/h in 2nd gear; 40 mph, 64 km/h in 3rd gear; 56 mph, 90 km/h in 4th gear. Power-weight ratio: 38.1 1b hp, 17.3 kg/hp with a fuel consumption of  56.5 miles to a gallon.

suspension at the front  was McPherson coil springs with  telescopic damper struts, the rear suspension a  de Dion rigid axle.Distribution of weight: 49% at front axle, 51% to rear axle.

Until the discontinuation of production in 1973, only 2530 units were manufactured, the lack of popularity.Later the name Vamos was also used between 1999 and 2019, for a minivan based on the Honda Acty.
