The Holden Scurry was a van, which was distributed in the model years 1985 and 1986 by Holden in Australia.

History

The Holden Scurry Van From 1986 to 1990 the model was also produced by Bedford as Bedford Rascal and from 1990 to 1994, after General Motors abandoned the Bedford brand, as Vauxhall Rascal until 1993 by IBC Vehicles and then imported from Japan. Already in the course of the year 1986, the scurry ran out without a successor. At IBC Vehicles, the original model Suzuki Super Carry was also produced for the European market, while the Holden model was produced by Suzuki from Japan.

 The small car with front engine and front-wheel drive was available as Holden Scurry available in 3 models, 2 seat Van, 4 seat Wagon and 4 seat High RoofWagon between a pure working vehicle and an urban commuter with comfort and style. a closed van with two seats, minibus with four seats or high-roof minibus with four seats and flatbed The roofline of the Deluxe High Roof model is raised by 14.5mm to make more load space and increase passenger comfort. Plus the added convenience and flexibility of rear folding seats. .Full height, sliding doors on both sides of all models provide ease of access. A vertically opening, one piece tailgate supported with gas struts gives rear access. 

 The empty weight is given as 715-815 kg.Payload capacity of the 2 seater Van is 519kgs, the 4 seater Wagon 363kgs 4 seat models are also fitted with hard-wearing carpet throughout including the rear floor area with vinyl trim on side door and rear inner quarter panels to aid appearance and sound insulation. While the slightly heavier and taller high roof wagon will take 323kgs plus passengers with ease.

The drive was a four-cylinder in-line engine with 963 cc and 33 kW power. All models feature a 970cc Overhead Camshaft, 4 cylinder petrol engine providing remarkable economy
and excellent performance. Scurry Van comes with a 4 speed manual transmission, while both 4 seat models have the added flexibility and economy of 5 speeds also a rear washer- wiper for unobstructed rear vision.The van had a simple outfit, the two minibuses a slightly upscale, which included carpets, better upholstery, a digital clock, rear wiper and a rear seat with split backrest.

McPherson wet strut front suspension. Front disc and rear drum brakes.Rack and pinion steering on all models, coupled to a soft feel steering wheel gives positive yet light steering .

Features also fitted: AM Radio— Reclining front bucket-seats — Heated rear window (4 seat models only)  Assist handles above front and rear doors (4 seat models only) to make entry and exit easier — Reversing lights easy parking after dark — Wide side body mouldings - Map pockets — Locking fuel filler — Laminatedwindscreen —F R/RR mud flaps.
