Earlywine Custom Classics Inc. was an American manufacturer of retro kit cars from the 1970s. 

History

The company was founded on July 23, 1976 in Whittier, California by Bobby Earlywine. 1976 they began the production of automobiles and kit cars. The brand name was Earlywine. 

The model was the Racer x and California Special. This was in the 1930s roadster race car style.  A Chassis of Beetle formed the basis. Then, a two-seat body made of super strong fiberglass body kit, available in an easily assembled kit or as a fully completed car. Lower centre of gravity and lighter than a VW. Handles like a great sports car. Uses full wheel base VW pan. No shortening involved.

Designed for all weather driving. With full windshield. Convertible top and side curtains optional. Tires, wheels and side pipes extra for kits.

By 1980 ended the production.

The Doray, Inc. was an American automaker, which was only made in 1950 at Miami Springs Florida USA.

Doray, Inc. Built an unusual two-door roadster with three seats with fiberglass body based on the 1949 WILLYS JEEPSTER, from which also the six-cylinder in-line engine, a 2.4 -l or 2.6 -l Willys Lightning type. The bonnet was in the style of the Cord of 1937. The Fabric roof top is removable and is carried behind seats with spare wheel and tire.

the chassis is stock, the only body parts taken from the Jeepster are cowl, windshield and doors. Since the fenders left the front wheels barely enough space to hit, the front-wheel fairings turn with wheels and are broken and hinged at rear to allow full wheel travel.

Wheelbase is 104 ins. and overall length spans 178 ins. Road clearances 6 1/2 ins.

Dowagiac Motor Car Company, was an early American manufacturer of automobiles. The brand name was Dowagiac and also Doe-wah-Jack.

History

The JV Lindsley Auto Chassis Company was taken over by a group of Dowagiac people in Michigan in 1909. One of them was Frank Lake. They continued to manufacture autos. Commercial vehicles and a larger passenger car with the brand name Dowagiac and trucks as Doe-wah-Jack were also in the works. Frank Lake and another employee were killed in a car accident in July 1909. Then production was over. A total of 15 vehicles were built. The factory equipment was taken over by the Tulsa Auto Manufacturing Company.

The cars corresponded to the Lindsley. They were high wheelers. The chassis had 198 cm wheelbase. A two-cylinder engine with 10 hp drove over a chain to the rear axle. Model B was a runabout and Model C was a Stanhope.

Dunn Motor Works was an American manufacturer in the 1910s of engines and small automobiles . The brand name was Dunn. 

History

Walter E. Dunn founded in 1900 the company based in Ogdensburg in the US state of New York . 1916 began the production of automobiles . The sales figures remained low. 

The only model is a open body in the form of a roadster that could accommodate two people built as a small medium weight cyclecar. The self-made V type air-cooled V4 engine gave 15 hp with 76.2 mm bore , 101.6 mm stroke and 1853 cc engine capacity with atwater Kent ignition . This drove a two-speed gearbox and a propeller shaft to the rear axle 2 1/2 inch by 28 inch tires. The chassis had 213 cm wheelbase  the top speed was 30mph.  The original price was low at £295 US dollars with options for 80amp battery electric or gas lights.

A total of about 20 vehicles and many engines built by the company but by 1918 ended the vehicle production.

Durocar Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles. The brand name was Durocar,

History

Durocar Manufacturing Company from South Los Angeles began manufacturing cars in 1906. Vehicles were displayed at the Los Angeles Automobile Show in January 1907. Only seven vehicles were manufactured by September 1907, but the manufacturing techniques were improved and the daily output increased to five automobiles. Watt Moreland went on to run the Magnolia Automobile Company and the Auto Vehicle Company. In Long Beach, William M. Varney was the distributor for the latter brand. Varney was president, Moreland secretary, and chief engineer. Directors are Norris L. Claberg, Fred L. Dolittle, L. Eugene Parker and George H. Woodruff.

From 1906 to 1907 Runabout, Touring Car and Landaulet with two-cylinder engine with 26 hp powered via a propeller shaft to the rear axle. The chassis had 259 cm wheelbase. In 1909, the wheelbase was slightly extended to 264 cm. Runabout and touring cars remained in the range, while the Model N came as Tourabout.

In the period from 1910 to 1911, the previous models were referred to as Model 26. The wheelbase was now 267 cm. The choice was touring car and Tourabout. Innovations presented two models with four-cylinder engines. The smaller was the Model 35, whose engine made 35 hp. The chassis had 290 cm wheelbase. The Model 45 had a 45 hp engine and 315 cm wheelbase.

In 1911 the production ended. William Moreland, would leave the Durocar and found the Moreland Motor Truck Company of Burbank in 1911.Varney underwent in early 1912, which led to the Amalgamated Motors Company. There emerged trucks.
