Chalfant Motor Car Company was an early American manufacturer of automobiles from Lenover, in Pennsylvania. 

History

The company manufactured automobiles from 1905 to 1912, which were sold as Chalfant. The company was founded in 1905 in by Harry Chalfant, Millard F. Chalfant and Horace S. Boyd also a Mr William Michener worked in the company. 

The first model A touring car had a water-cooled two - cylinder engine with 22 hp . This drove via a planetary gear and two chains to the rear axle. The wheelbase was 229 cm. Initially, only a touring car was available, which cost $ 1,200 . A runabout with the same chassis was also available on request.1908 came out a model with a four-cylinder engine . Chalfant ordered parts for twelve vehicles.

In total, about 50 vehicles were created. By 1912 production ended.
