The Chrysler G-70 was a mid -size car that Chrysler manufactured in Detroit for 1926.

History

The Model 70  was named for its achievable top speed 70mph. This replaced the first Chrysler B-70 car and was presented as the middle model for the range. There were seven different bodies offered, which were little changed compared to the previous model. The wheelbase was slightly shortened compared to the predecessor model.

The car had a side-mounted six-cylinder in-line engine with seven bearing crankshaft , as its predecessor, but with 3,582 cc displacement, the power of 68 bhp (50 kW) remained the same but with a 4.7:1 compression ratio. The rear wheels were driven via a single-disc dry clutch and a three-speed gearbox with central control. All four wheels were hydraulically braked.

In the following year replaced the series 70 the G-70 after 72,039 copies made.
