The Chevrolet International Series AC was a mid- size car that was made by Chevrolet in 1929 as the only model and successor to the National Series AB. The vehicle was introduced in December 1928 and was available with ten different bodies - six two-door and four four-door. The cars had, in contrast to the four-cylinder predecessor model, top-controlled six-cylinder in-line engines (OHV). The machine with 3179 cc capacity developed a power output of 46 hp (34 kW) at 2600 rpm, The engine power was transmitted via a single-disc dry clutch and a manual three-speed gearbox to the rear wheels. All four wheels had mechanical brakes, drums at the front and outer band brakes at the rear.

Standard Equipment included Instrument panel with speedometer, ammeter, oil pressure  gauge and choke pull; electric horn, extra rim, spare tire carrier, legal headlights,
headlight dimmer, license brackets, V. V. one-piece ventilating windshield, automatic windshield wiper with dash control, plate glass windows, window regulators, sun visor, door locks, dome light, roller shade at rear window, foot accelerator, automatic stop light, rear-vision mirror, door pocket, remote control door handles, ignition lock, air cleaner, pedal enclosure, automatic heat control, spark and throttle dash control and indirect instrument lighting.

The selling prices were on the level of the pre-predecessor Capitol and lay between 525, - and 725, - US $. Due to the low price,in the advertisement: "The six-cylinder for the price of a four-cylinder". After 13 months and 1,328,605 vehicles, the Universal Series AD replaced the International.
