Savant (Sector Three Engineering) Automotive manufacturer of Huddersfield , West Yorkshire United Kingdom from 1998 to 2000

Sector Three Engineering was a British manufacturer of automobiles from the late 1990s. The brand name was Savant .

History

Ian Pettinger founded the company in Huddersfield in the county of West Yorkshire in 1998  . Steve Greenwood, who previously worked for Litton Cars , and Richard Ashby developed a vehicle.  They began production of cars and kits .  A vehicle was presented in 1999 at a car show in Stoneleigh . A total of about only  two units were built. By 2000, the production ended. Quantum Sports Cars took over the project and marketed it under its own brand name as Quantum Xtreme .

The model was the 175 . This was a vehicle in the style of the Lotus Seven . The base was a monocoque. Then an open two-seater body was mounted. There were three options to choose from, which differed slightly. The pinto engine came from the Ford Sierra .
