Midtec Sports Cars was a British manufacturer of kit type automobiles . The brand name was Midtec . 

History

Terry Mulloy founded the company in 1989 in Leicester England . There he took over a project of Kitdeal and began production of cars and kits .By 1997 had ended production. Stuart Taylor Motorsport and later Midway Sportscars continued production under their own brand names.

The best selling model was the Spyder This first designed by Lee Noble at Kitdeal. This was an one-piece fiberglass roadster open two-seater. The engine was mounted longitudinally behind the seats. Various engines The Ford pinto and also from Renault powered the vehicles. From this model a total of about 40 copies. 

The Calico was its own development. This was also a two-seat roadster . Many parts, including the engine, came from the Ford Sierra . Headlights and taillights came from the Vauxhall Corsa . This model found about four buyers between 1994 and 1996.

In addition, Midtec also made from 1992 to 1997 the Midas bronze for under £2,000 , which previously produced Midas Cars a fiberglass body using mini parts.
