Raffo Cars was a British manufacturer of automobiles. The brand name was Raffo.

History

Raffo Cars was founded by John Raffo in 1985 in Southport, Merseyside. They started with the production of Formula V racing cars, automobiles and kits. 

The first model was the Tipo 11. A spaceframe frame formed the chassis with a body made of fiberglass. The engine from the Alfa Romeo Alfasud and was mid-engine design layout. By 1988, created about eleven cars. This was followed in 1988 by the Tipo 12 with same chassis and engine layout. This was a racing car was available both open and closed body versions, about 14 copies were made by 1991. 

The Belva first appeared in 1996, also called Tipo 16. This was a coupe body with gullwing doors body tub moulding. Separate bonnet. boot and double skinned and Laminated front screen. Multi tube Powder Coated chassis frame in 16 gauge square section steel tube. Aluminium Clad, with over protection bracing bars.  A four-cylinder zetec engine from Ford engine with either 1800 cc or 2000 cc capacity with again mid-engine design.suspension adjustable Avo coilspring dampers Fulty independent fabricated steel uprights. Double round tube, nylon bushed widebase wishbones. Adjustable Avo coilsprings.  STEERING a Ford Sierra rack and pinion. 2 turns lock to lock, modified by Raffo .BRAKES: All disc system. Twin master cylinders with braided brake hoses.Raffo Cars from 1996 to 2000 and Harlequin car kits from 2000 to 2005 together produced about seven copies. 

By 2000 the Belvetta also called Tipo 17, completed the range. This was an open two-seater. But by 2005, only about two copies were created. 

 By the year 2000, the production ended.  Harlequin car kits continued production of two models continued until 2005, In total, about 34 copies were made.
