NP was a British automobile brand in the 1920s by Salmons and Sons, which were built from 1922 to 1925 as Salmons Car Co. Ltd. in Newport Pagnell (Buckinghamshire). NP stands for the production location of Newport Pagnell. 

History

As a coach work company they also built cars .One of the larger models the King 8 a american chassis with British coackwork,with an eight-cylinder engine fitted with Salmon’s special four-seated coupe body, frameless windows, painted dark blue. and four-cylinder cars with 11 to 22 hp

The smaller models with the Meadows engines, 12.28 h.p four-cylinder N.P. model and the NP 12/16 hp . The car had a top-mounted four-cylinder in-line engine with 1.8 litre displacement overhead valves, push-rods, and tappets operated from the camshaft on the near side, with the magneto and carburettor. This had a wheelbase of 2819 mm and was offered only in 1922.

1923 appeared the larger NP 14/22 hp , the four-cylinder engine had 2.1 litres of displacement. The wheelbase of the car was 2,972 mm.

By the end of 1925, the brand had disappeared from the market again.

Around 400 cars were produced up to 1925.
