The Opel Campo (in the UK as a Vauxhall Brava) is a pickup that was made from August 1991 to December 2001.This was sold in Western and Central Europe. This was based on the Isuzu Faster TF and was initially offered as Isuzu Campo. The model was built by IBC Vehicles later GM Manufacturing Luton in the UK.
The Brava/Campo was, as it was built in three versions also common for the models of the competitors (Toyota Hilux, Nissan Pickup, Mitsubishi L200, Mazda B series) and Ford Ranger. A: two-seat with two seats, two-seat with two seats and a second row of seats suitable only for short distances with two emergency seats (Sports cab) as well as four-door with a full second seat (crew cab). To cover the loading area, the manufacturers offered Truckman, Road Ranger and Brahma hardtops.
In May 1997, the Brava/Campo received a facelift. From now on, the model was also produced for Holden as Holden Campo. Here, the performance of the 2.5-liter diesel engine was increased from 76 to 100 hp.
Shortly before the end of production Opel put in March 2001, a special series of the Campo, the "Limited Edition". As standard there were a two-tone paint, electric windows and electrically adjustable mirrors and air conditioning. The "Limited Edition" was only available as a crew cab with four-wheel drive and the 3.1-liter turbo diesel or performance-upgraded 2.5-liter turbo diesel with intercooler.
The engine range consisted of three diesel engines (2.5 D with 76 hp / 100 hp and 3.1 TD with 109 hp) and a gasoline engine (2.3, 94 hp). Sports cab and crew cab were available with four-wheel drive and also had a reduction gearbox and manual or automatic freewheel hubs. The 3.1 l diesel was available exclusively with four-wheel drive.
From July 1994, the 2.3-liter gasoline engine produced 72 kW (98 hp).
