Holland was an American manufacturer of automobiles . Sam Holland from Park River , North Dakota was a blacksmith . He manufactured automobiles between 1898 and 1908. The brand name was Holland . Customers were predominantly his employees and friends. 

History

Samuel Holland built by hand, both the car body and the engines on the early cars and was powered by steam.The first vehicle could accommodate up to four people and was a steam car. This was followed by several 3 wheel tricycles with single-cylinder gasoline engine . 

The next model was a four-wheeled vehicle. The construction Runabout could accommodate two people. A self-produced single-cylinder engine with 6 hp power powered via a chain on the rear axle. Noteworthy are two water coolers . The wheelbase was 170 cm and the track 140 cm. This vehicle has been preserved.

 In April 1905, another runabout appeared. This engine made 8.5 hp.The quantity amounted to something over six vehicles. This was followed by a vehicle with an air-cooled four-cylinder engine and 12 hp. This model was offered in the local press for six weeks.
