The France Jet Motors Ltd. was an American automaker, which was only built in 1961 the company was based in New York City USA. The car designed in It was designed in Germany and first known as the Super Jet, but sold by France Jet Motors Ltd was first shown at the New York motor show in 1960.

History

The France Jet car was a small micro type open sports car, as a two-seater roadster with look of the corvette and fiberglass body. chassis was rein enforced aluminium with independent coil spring suspension on all four wheels and with rack and pinion steering.it was available with two wheelbase sizes. The short wheelbase version was equipped with a rear-mounted single cylinder engine that had a displacement of 279 cc. 1880-2082 mm wheelbase and a total length of 3302 mm. The vehicle cost $ 1595. For $ 250, - surcharge, there was the longer wheelbase and a rear-mounted two cylinder in-line engine from Kohler with 1082 cc, which brought it to 40 bhp (29 kW). In this configuration, the small car weighed 353 kg. So, its fuel economy was up to 65 miles per US gallon.
