Renault Reinastella Concept
The Renault Reinastella is an imaginary futuristic car model, designed by Renault to illustrate the attraction of Disneyland Paris , the Visionarium .
History
The model was installed at the entrance of the attraction from the opening of the park in April 1992 and withdrawn in June 2002, the date of the end of the partnership between Renault and Euro Disney SCA . It was an invitation to enter the Visionarium.
As is often the case with Disney, each element of an attraction is the subject of extensive script research. The Reinastella is therefore endowed with a coherent and precise history although fictional.
The Reinastella is a model presented by Renault in 2328, it takes the name of a model of 1929 . It is designed using the latest biomechanical techniques, coated with an innovative synthetic material, dermotylene or propelled by a bio-organic motor supplied with plasmelf fluid (a reference to the French oil company Elf ). It can almost be considered a living organism. Its generator allows it to ensure movements at 15 cm from the ground to nearly 50 km / h in the city. It can also cross at nearly 150 m altitude for a speed of 300 km / h, in this case its architecture is modified to improve its aerodynamics.
It can carry up to five people in perfect silence, its control is done by voice commands in automatic mode, thanks to its artificial intelligence. The seats are leaning against the walls of the cockpit. There is a circular porthole in the floor at the front to enjoy the view at high altitude. It represents the ultimate evolution of prestige private vehicles.
There are, however, rumors of accidents that occurred during its development. One of the prototypes in the test phase with two people on board was missing. It was found a few days later, in a desert area without any trace of the testers. The car is very much suspected of having assimilated it into its body as a result of a malfunction. There is no chance that they are still alive. The prototype was destroyed after analysis. No other incidents were noted. For safety, the structure of the car has been modified to make it incompatible with a mammal and thus avoid any phenomenon of assimilation.
Totally fictional, this story remains unknown to the majority of visitors to the attraction. Many other attractions have been designed around elaborate stories whose subtleties do not show up in the park. After being removed from Disneyland Park in 2002 she has been seen at the Lyon Motor Show in October 2003.
