The second generation of the Datsun Cabstar started in January 1976, a badge-engineered Nissan Homer F20 based on the Nissan Caball C340. 

History

For the second generation of the Datsun CabstarVan and minibus versions were no longer available, so that only the flatbed was available. The engine was now the Nissan H20-1982 cc gasoline engine with 74 kW / 99 hp used, while the Homer, which was also partially exported as Datsun Homer in some countries to Europe, and the J15 gasoline engine with 57 kW / 77 hp gave. The SD22 diesel engine from the Homer with 48 kW / 65 hp, however, was available at Cabstar for a surcharge.

In 1977, minor improvements were made and built a variant with a longer flatbed and higher body. This version was created specifically for export, which since then officially took place in Europe , while the Cabstar I + II was previously imported only by individual countries such as the Nordic and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland .

1979, the front was modernized and the engines have been improved due to the amended emission regulations. This model received the code F21. In December 1981, production was discontinued in Japan.SUSPENSION: Front Independent, torsion bar type.Rear Rigid axle. semelliptic leaf springs.BRAKES: Drum with servo .

Starting in 1982, a new model, the Datsun Cabstar F22 was available, which was built by Nissan Motor Ibérica in Barcelona ( Spain ) for Europe. This model was a version of the worldwide offered Nissan Atlas .
