The Lancia Kappa was a vehicle of the manufacturer Lancia from 1919 to 1922 in Italy .
History
The Lancia Kappa original car was produced in 847 pieces in various body styles and was available with a 4 -cylinder engine of 4942 cc displacement , a power of 70 hp . The maximum speed was stated at 125 km / h.
The kappa was named after the later Lancia Kappa . The fallacy of the name can be explained by the revival of the Greek alphabet for the name of the brand, which took several years to get the letter "k" back.
Was available with a variety of bodie types, such as four five seat open torpedo types,to de Ville limousine.
The Kappa was however characterized by at least three innovations worthy of mention: the engine with separate cylinder head (instead of fused together with the cylinder body), the gearbox control with lever positioned in the center between the two front seats and the abandonment of the wheels . in wood sheet metal disc wheels or, on request, spoked wheels available as standard.
Produced from 1919 to 1922 in 1810 units, it will remain the "base" model of the Turin-based company until the Lambda was launched in 1923
