Dodge Coronet Fifth generation was built from 1965 to 1970 as a  4-door wagon and sedan or 2-door sedan,coupe and hardtop versions along with the 2-door convertible model. 

History

The Coronet reappeared again for the year 1965 model year as the intermediate sized B-body using a 117-inch wheelbase the middle model range of Dodge was called Coronet. In 1966 the model was revised, in 1967 it got a facelift. In 1968 they offered larger bodies with "Coke-Bottle" design with integral chassis and independent front suspension , wishbones, lower trailing links, longitudinal torsion bar, telescopic dampers at the rear rigid axle, semi-elliptic leafsprings, telescopic dampers. 

A powerful R / T model (7078 cc, 275 kW) appeared in 1967, from 1969 even with 287 kW and three double carburettors. The model range also included a hardtop - coupe and a convertible. Trim levels as base model and Deluxe version as two-door and four-door sedans, and also the station wagon, the 440 as a two-door hardtop, convertible, or the station wagon, and the top of the range 500 as sportier car with bucket seats, padded dash this came as the two-door hardtop or the convertible model.

or larger 361, 383, and 426. For 1965, Dodge sold over 200,000 in various body and trim levels.

In 1966 the Coronet 500 Special Edition four-door was added along with the Coronet Deluxe. By 1967 also the Coronet R/T was available as a two-door hardtop or convertible. The engine choice was Chrysler's the 440 cu in V8 or opting for the big Hemi engine with power rated at 425 bhp.

Dodge Coronet 5th gen specifications (1965-1970)

For 1967 the range received a new redesign. A new Coronet model, known as Coronet Super Bee was introduced in 1968. In its final year of production, 1971, the Super Bee was sold as a Charger. The Super Bee available as a 2-door coupe or 2-door hardtop.  shared the Charger's sports Rallye instrument cluster display heavy-duty suspension, and 15-inch steel wheels over the standard 14". Later it included a 390 hp version with three Holley carburettors a black fiberglass lift-off bonnet hood secured with rally race type metal pins to hold it in place, As the "SIX PACK".

Some options a Torqueflite automatic gearbox,limited slip final drive,cleaner air system depending on location,front disc brakes and servo brakes along with power-assisted steering.

The Coronet and the identical Plymouth Belvedere were in 1969 with 426-S- muscle car equipment. This included the famous 426cc Chrysler Hemi V8 engine (6980cc, 312.5kW). Also, this year there was the 440er model with quadruple carburettor (7210 cc). His power was given as 280 kW, but actually made up to 313 kW. Other 440 models were also available as 2-door or 4-door sedans with 318 engine and manual 3-speed transmission. Engine of 5210 cc / 318 cui capacity with power of 171.5 kW / 230 hp.

The base Coronet and Deluxe were available as 2-door coupes, 4-door sedans, or station wagons. The base range model Coronet was dropped by the end of production, The Coronet R/T 2-door hardtop and convertible continued through 1970.
