The Cadillac Eldorado Sixth generation was a 2-door convertible built for two years in the 1960s, from 1963 to 1964.
History
The Eldorado's price was for 1963 $ 6,069,in the first half of the 1960s were around $ 1500 each over the base convertibles and $ 1000 over the DeVille Convertibles, with the latter being offered only from 1965 onwards. The 1963 Eldorado was also the first Fleetwood bodied convertible since the Cadillac Series 75 stopped offering four and two-door convertible body styles The Eldorado cabriolets of the 1960s were like their predecessors from the previous decade rare vehicles. The annual production was regularly in the lower four-digit range. From 1959 to 1964, just a little more than 1000 vehicles were produced each year.
The Eldorado Biarritz acquired the Fleetwood wreath and crest on its rear quarters in 1963, joining the Cadillac Sixty Special and the Cadillac Series 75 as the only Cadillac cars with Fleetwood bodywork. The entirely new body gave off a bolder, more angular appearance. In comparison to 1962, the front fenders protruded 4.625 inches more forward, while the tailfins were shrunk to create a lower profile and smoother, flatter sides.
The most interior appointment options ever were 143, which included bucket seats with wool, leather, or nylon upholstery materials and wood veneer facings on the dash, doors, and seatbacks. The engine was completely redesigned, but the output and displacement stayed the same at 390 cubic inches (6.4 litres) and 325 horsepower (242).Distributin of weight: 49% front axle, and 51% to the rear axle.

By 1964 the Eldorado received a minor facelift for 1964. New angular grille that formed a V-shape a central body-coloured horizontal bar. The tailfins with a new design ,the rear wheel covers now removed.
Performance improvements including engine that was enlarged to 429 cu in (7 l), with 340 hp (253.5 kW) V8 engine. Along with Turbo-Hydromantic transmission.
