First making its appearance in the autumn of 1926, the B9A is a forward control type chassis with a straight frame. Having a wheelbase of 15ft 6in it is powered by a Tilling Stevens 4-cylinder side valve petrol engine of 5.13 litres capacity.

Transmission is by means of an open clutch with single plate and 4-speed crash gearbox to an underslung worm rear axle. Mechanically operated brakes are fitted, operating on the rear wheels only. Production of the B9A ceased in the early months of 1928.
