The BRM P56, was a Formula 1 racing car , built in 1962 in Great Britain.

History

This model appeared experimentally in the 1961 at the Italian GP and won the Manufacturers' Championship in 1962 after some excellent racing.
and continued its success story throughout the years A 2-litre version did extremely well in the Australian Tasman series up to 1966.

The first 1962 BRM PE56 (experimental) came fitted with a  BRM, V-8 Engine with a Capacity of only 1 ,482cc and fitted with fuel injection as well as electronic transistorized ignition which allowed it to rev to a high 11,000 rpm, with inclined ohv with four ohcs (Bore & Stroke 68.1 x 50.8mm) and Gearbox of five-speeds Maximum Speed: 257km/h (160mph)
Chassis was a tubular spaceframeand  Independent front and coil rear suspension by double wishbones and springs
Dimensions: wheelbase 228cm (89.75in)
