The Alfa Romeo 20-30 ES Sport was a car from Alfa Romeo it is the car that Enzo Ferrari began his racing career with (race version).
History
The company brought this more sporty model from 1921 as a successor to its early 1914 model 20-30 HP E version. The designer was Giuseppe Merosi . A four -cylinder in-line engine with 102 mm bore , 130 mm stroke and 4250 cc displacement produced 49.3 kW (67 hp ). This was mounted in the front of the vehicle and drove the rear axle for rear wheel drive. The transmission had four gears. The ES also had electric lights and an electric starter. The wheelbase was a shorter 290 cm and the track 145 cm. There was a choice of touring car and limousine . The curb weight was stated with 1200 kg for the four-seat touring car. Its top speed was a fast 130 km / h and 67 bhp at 2600 rpm.
The chassis cost 37,000 lire to buy .1922 ended the production. In total, only 124 vehicles were created.
