The ALFA 12 HP was a car of Società Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili, predecessor of Alfa Romeo in the 1910s.
History
The company launched this mid-size 1910 model this as its smallest model at the time. The designer was Giuseppe Merosi . A four-cylinder in - line engine with 80 mm bore , 120 mm stroke and 2413 cc displacement produced 16.2 kW (22 hp ). This was mounted in the front of the vehicle and drove the rear axle. The transmission had three gears. The wheelbase was 292 cm and the track width 130 cm.
There was a choice of touring car and limousine . The curb weight was given as 920 kg for the touring car. The maximum speed was 90 km / h.
The chassis cost 9500 lire to buy .In 1911 the production ended. Successor was the 15 HP .Between 1910 and 1915 from the 12 HP, the 15 HP and its successor 15-20 HP together 330 vehicles were manufactured.
