Mosler Automotive Inc. , previously Consulier Industries Inc. , was an British and American manufacturer of automobiles .
Warren Mosler founded in 1985 the company Consulier Industries in Riviera Beach , Florida . First began in 1988 with the production of automobiles. An assembly plant was located in St Ives in Cambridgeshire UK . The brand name was first Consulier .1993, the name changed to Mosler Automotive and the brand name in Mosler . By 2013 the production ended. On June 11, 2013, the company was acquired by the Rossion Automotive Group .
The offer included supercars . The Consulier was available as LX with better equipment and as a lighter GTP sport . As Mosler are Mosler Intruder and Mosler MT900 . Mosler MT900 (2001-2013)
The Mosler MT900 . The car was developed by Rod Trenne , who had previously mainly worked on the Corvette C5 , the process was financed by Warren Mosler. The goal in the development was to build the fastest and most reliable road sports car in the world. The MT900 is designed for the 24 Hours of Daytona .
The Mosler MT900 is also built in collaboration with racing teams and Mosler Automotive in England. On this basis, the MT900 GTR, a street version of the racing car MT900.The Mosler MT900 won the FIA GT Championship in the UK and Spain in 2003.
The MT900 GTR meets all European crash test and emissions regulations. The body is completely made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), the chassis and the passenger compartment are made of CFK sandwich honeycomb core construction and together weigh approx. 90 kg. The rear wing and the interior are made of CFRP.
The car is powered by a GM- V8 middle engine, which is also used in the Corvette . The performance level of the base model starts at 350 hp from 5.7 liters from the LS1 engine of the Corvette C5 . The most powerful model (as of 2010) had 376 kW / 512 hp and could be upgraded to 441 kW / 600 hp. The 7.0-liter LS7 engine comes from the Corvette C6 Z06 .
The sports car will be delivered with a 6-speed transmission from Getrag or, on request, with a sequential 6-speed transmission from Hewland .The unladen weight of the vehicle is depending on version and equipment at about 950-1250 kg full tank.The acceleration is depending on the engine at 3.1-3.9 s from 0-100 km / h, the maximum speed is up to 340 km / h.The FIA has approved the MT900 GT3 for the European GT3 Championship on the condition that Mosler uses at least 3 vehicles in 2007 and at least 6 vehicles in 2008.
