HF Borbein & Company
HF Borbein & Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles from the early part of the 20th century .
The company was based in St. Louis , Missouri . From 1899 came axles and wheels. In 1900 Henry F. Borbein produced a prototype . From 1901 to October 1903 Borbein was a manager at the Brecht Automobile Company . During this time he also received at least one patent . In 1904 he produced on his own vehicles. The brand name was Borbein . In August 1907 threatened a takeover. Until the end of 1910 still offered vehicles. Until 1919 ago accessories and then sold the company to his son Alfred Borbein.
The prototype was an electric car with the body shape Runabout .
The vehicles of the period from 1904 to 1910 were predominantly build youself kit cars . The Model No. 26 had a chassis with 330 cm wheelbase and was bodywork as a touring car.
