Woods Motor Vehicle Company

 Automotive manufacturer of Chicago.United States from 1897 to 1901.
Woods Company was an American car brand by Clinton E. Woods from the late part of the 19th century in Chicago.

History

Clinton Edgar Woods from 1896 had at the American Electric Vehicle Company experience in the automotive industry. He developed an electric car in 1897 , to which he gave his name. The first attempt at marketing by the Aluminum Motor Vehicle Company failed. 1898 the Fisher Equipment Company of Chicago in Illinois built about 60 cars for him. From 1899 he was involved in the Woods Motor Vehicle Company , and in 1901 he founded the Woods-Waring Company , also in Chicago. There he produced more vehicles. End of 1901 ended production.

The offer was exclusively electric cars. For the period from 1898 to 1899 built versions as Hansom Cab and Road Buggy .with over thirty different styles finest Broughams, and Cabs .Latest Style, Lightest Weight, Lowest Priced Electric Vehicle in the World. weight 1000 lbs. Speed per hour 14 miles, Mileage capacity, with one charge 25 miles.
 Later there was a Light Stanhope , Brougham Cab, Victoria -Stanhope and light commercial vehicles .
