History
EC Merrill founded the company in 1914 in Asheville , North Carolina . He produced there Cycle Cars under the name Asheville. 1915 the production ended when the company was dissolved.
The Asheville was a roadster with a relatively long bonnet and two seats at the end. This was with an air-cooled V-2 engine of Indian, the (5.1 kW) developed 7 bhp. The engine power was transmitted via a two-speed gearbox and a flat belt to the rear wheels. The narrow wire spoke wheels were suspended from cantilever springs. The wheelbase was 2388 mm. The weight was 204 kg. The simple car cost $450.
