History
Ernest R. Kelly had a workshop in Wilmington , Delaware , where he repaired bicycles and machines. After a few years of development, he manufactured and offered automobiles starting in 1903 . The brand name was Acadia . In 1904, production ended when he gave up the business and moved to Philadelphia .
The only model a small light car had a single-cylinder engine with 5 hp . This was mounted under the seat and drove over a chain to the rear axle. The vehicle front resembled the models of Renault . The open body could accommodate two people. The wheelbase was 157 cm. The vehicle weighed 272 kg. The base price was $600 dollars. Mudguards ,headlights and horn avaliable at cost extra.
