Flint Motor Company

Flint Motor Company was an automobile manufacturer from Flint in Michigan in the USA . The company existed from 1923 to 1927 and belonged to Durant Motors Corporation.
Production
The Flint is considered a ready-made product because Durant Motors built essential components from other manufacturers. So came the six-cylinder engines from Continental and the body parts were made at Budd in Philadelphia .The origins of the Flint can be traced to the automaker Willys .There, they designed a prototype for a planned six-cylinder car, but then had to sell this prototype to get in during a financial crisis money to obtain the company.
Durant Motors bought this prototype and developed it into a flint. The Flint competed with the Buick, also made in Flint . After financial difficulties with Durant Motors, the Flint brand was discontinued in 1927.There is no connection with the early Flint Automobile Company in the early 1900s also in Michigan.
