René Thury and his classmate Nussberg were apprentices of the Société Genevoise d'Instruments de Physique . In 1877 they decided to develop a steam car .
It was a 3 wheel car , with the single wheel at the front. The two larger rear wheels were driven. The steam engine had two cylinders with 70 mm bore and 85 mm stroke and made 12 hp . The top speed was 50 km / h.
