The Tribu Spanish for " tribe " was a three-door concept vehicle from Seat , which was presented at the IAA 2007.
The four-seater SUV was the first Seat designed under Luc Donckerwolke , and should anticipate design features of future models. Edged lines and the yellow livery of the Tribu recalled the vehicles of Lamborghini , where Donckerwolke had previously been design chief.
Other special features included tail lights integrated into the luggage compartment lid , which were under glass and were only visible when lighting up, as well as the windscreen , which merged seamlessly into a glass roof extending to the rear seats.
The SEAT Tribu is a car prototype presented at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show by the Spanish manufacturer SEAT . It is the first creation of the current designer of the brand, Luc Donckerwolke , who was previously the designer of Lamborghini . The Tribe is a three-door all - terrain vehicle , based on the chassis of the Volkswagen Tiguan , which advances the new design line of the Spanish brand.
In this model, the "dynamic line" that goes from the front wheelhouse to the rear is more straight and less marked, and the general lines are much straighter and with sharper edges than in recent models of SEAT, such as the SEAT Leonand the SEAT Altea . The Tribe is equipped with a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that has an estimated power of 140 hp.
It has great advances in design of diode lights, both in the rear, camouflaged in a glass door, and in the front optics. The trapezoidal calender is larger, and is accompanied on the sides by large air intakes. Inside it has a configuration of 2 + 2 seats type bacquet, a dashboard with four multimedia screens with Internet connection and USB ports, and a computer system to adapt the handling to the driving situation.
The IV generation of the SEAT Ibiza and the SEAT Exeo of the D segment take the features of this prototype, as well as an eventual off-road of the C segment in the future. The SEAT Ateca (2016) is inspired by this design .
