Ferris De Joux design was a New Zealand manufacturer of automobiles , based in Auckland .The brand name was De Joux

History

The company, led by Ferris De Joux existed since 1958. In 1970 began production of cars and kit cars . By 1970 ended production. In total, about 30 vehicles were created. 

The cars on offer included the de Joux Mini GT. This sports car was based on the Mini . The body was made of fiberglass and windows were Perspex built on a Mini floorpan . It was longer and wider nine inches lower, but significantly flatter than the Mini. Various four-cylinder engines powered the vehicles. The water cooler was mounted in front of the engine unlike the original side version. The empty weight was 46 kg below that of the Mini. 

Later in 1999 de Joux made a Maserati Special this one-off car had six-cylinder Maserati engine.
