FR Dennison was a early New Zealand manufacturer of automobiles . The brand name was Dennison .

History

The company from Oamaru began producing automobiles in 1900 under the direction of Frederick Ridley Dennison. In 1905 the production ended. In total, three vehicles were created.

The first vehicle from 1900 had a water-cooled engine. Dennison produced almost everything , apart from tires , rims and drive chains. Cone clutch , a single gear, countershaft and side chains are transmitted for power transmission. The vehicle should have reached 24 km / h. Its drive from Christchurch to Oamaru over 280 km. On the way back it burned out.

1901 was a tricycle with a built-in engine by De Dion-Bouton , with 2.5 hp .The maximum speed was stated at 35 km / h. The last model in 1905 was a 12-seat bus , which a customer ordered. Again Dennison made everything except the tires and the body.
