Henk Schollen became aware of buggies in 1969 during a stay in the United States of America . After his return he founded the company for the production of automobiles in Tilburg . In 1973, the production ended after about 500 manufactured copies the largest buggy manufacturer in the Netherlands at the time. .
The main model Schollen's Woestijnrat was a buggy on the chassis of the VW Beetle . The prices were 2200 Dutch guilders for a kit and 6325 guilders for a fully assembled turn key vehicle.
