The Morris C8 was a British Field Artillery military vehicle.
The C8 was the most successful vehicle that Morris Commercial Cars Ltd designed for the British Army. The vehicle was called "Quad" It was relatively small and unarmored and was technically based on the Morris CVF and was a little underpowered when towing heavy guns . The quad served to pull the 18- or 25-pounder guns . The C8 provided enough space for the entire gun crew and at the same time provided enough storage space for ammunition. A 4-tonne winch was also available.
The vehicles were used on all fronts of World War II from 1939 on known as the Beetle back from the body ,with improvements over the years such as switched four-wheel drive system and body types , and used as well as in the Korean War. Over 10,000 vehicles were produced, mainly at Morris Commercial Cars Ltd, Karrier and General Motors Canada . Production was discontinued in 1945.
